Long ago, in a time before the modern era, there was an egg.
This egg contained the spirit of all existence.
The egg itself was a single small universe, inhabited by a tiny little world at its core. That world would someday grow to become the Nexus of the Multiverse, known as Dominaria.
But in its early days it was called the Land of Earth and Humans, or Earth for short.
Back then there was much more suffering, with the souls of gods and men alike trapped in an endless cycle of death and reincarnation as they warred with each other for control of their collective destinies.
While there was an enormous and complicated variety of factions, everyone was loosely divided between two main groups:
- Those who wished for life to continue and grow even though it was sometimes painful
- Those who wished for life to end to put everyone out of their misery.
The former group came to be known as Good, for they put their faith and love in Creation.
The latter group came to be known as Evil, for they put their faith and love in Destruction.
The war repeated itself many times and in many different ways, until both sides were almost completely exhausted.
(Naturally, such exhaustion would give a huge advantage to the side of Evil, because it sapped much of the energy and motivation life needed to continue and grow.)
THEN, when it seemed like all hope was lost, a hero emerged to drive back the forces of Evil.
This hero was a man fused from two souls:
- An honorable ancient king.
- A kind, young peasant boy.
Through his great wisdom and love, he enacted a cunning plan to reawaken and reunite the forces of Good and free them from Evil's grasp.
People called him many names, but the foremost among them were Ai-Shitei and Ai-Oh—for he was the bond of love between a servant and his king, between a king and his servant.
NOW, two thousand years later, the world of Dominaria has lost its memories and fallen into Evil’s grasp once again...
And a brave and lonely little boy named Harri, back in his 15-year-old body after thirteen long and painful years, cries out to the spirit of his lost and forgotten father and husband:
“Please…
Please be real…
Please let everyone I love be real! All my anime hero nakama…
Please let me live! I want to live! Please don't let me die…
Please let there be light in the world!
I want everyone to be nicer to each other and to me.
I wish I had more friends and family, and that the ones I have already weren't so mean to me.
I want to help everyone, and I know I can! But I can't do it all by myself!
It hurts… it hurts…
Please save me daddy!
I love you…”
