The first abuses their power. The second abuses their freedom. The third is reckless, forsaking all caution and guidance. The fourth is hidebound, refusing to learn from or work with outsiders.
The king, the rebel, the inventor, the farmer.
The first leads their people. The second liberates their people. The third engineers solutions to people's problems. The fourth maintains the food supply (as well as other resources and infrastructure, in more modern times), preserving what people already have.
The authoritarian, the libertarian, the progressive, the conservative.
Life and Civilization is the Great Balancing Act.
This is a cornerstone of the foundation's foundation, for all Mankind.
